Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect at a service at New Song?
Each week when we gather together, we enjoy a time of relaxed and informal fellowship. New Song provides breakfast weekly for members and visitors, including sausage biscuits, donuts, juice, and coffee or tea. We love to use this time to catch up before our worship service starts.
We will read scriptures and pray together. We will also have a blend of songs, and all of our songs are projected on a screen. Our messages, or sermons, are biblically based with a focus on application to our everyday lives.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! Most people will be dressed casually. Come as you are!
Where should I park?
The Press Room has two separate entrances. For the Food City shopping center front entrance, you may park anywhere in the Food City shopping center parking lot. For the Press Room entrance, off of Roller Street, there is a parking lot conveniently located in front of the entrance.
Does New Song offer any resources for kids?
We offer a class for children during our worship service. The typical age for our class is ages 3-5, but any age is welcome to attend! Our service is casual and laid-back, so older children are welcome to sit with their parents during the worship service.
What should I expect in regard to communion at New Song?
We share communion weekly. Some people like to call this the Lord ’s Supper, or the Eucharist. We celebrate communion in a special and unique way. Breaking bread and sharing the cup together is a central part of our service. During this time in the service we see some people meditating privately, or standing in small groups sharing this time with friends or family.
Do I have other opportunities to connect with New Song besides Sunday mornings?
Yes, you do! We meet together for a Bible study, dinner, and fellowship on Sunday nights. Check out all of our upcoming events! We also have several service opportunities throughout the week! Check out our service opportunities here.
